Áed – TOURBO music

Áed

Contemporary Chamber Folk

Áed creates atmospheric soundscapes that oscillate between ritual, intimacy, and cinematic intensity. Inspired by myth, memory, and transformation, the four musicians combine haunting voices, bowed strings, acoustic textures, and drone sounds into a sound that feels both archaic and contemporary.

Following 'Moved' (2020) and 'Leaf' (2023), the band released 'Beyond' (2025), their most expansive and atmospheric work to date. Produced in collaboration with Anna Murphy, the album transcends clear genre boundaries—floating into a realm where contemporary folk music, mythical imagery, and cinematic soundscapes intertwine.

Line-up: Ilenia Ballacchino (vocals, bodhrán, shruti box), Helen Maier (fiddle, vocals), Jonas Künzli (acoustic bass, backing vocals), Raoul Morat (guitar, cittern).

Featured Band Member: Anna Murphy (hurdy-gurdy, vocals)
